Job offer for Korean native speaker at the Chair of East Asian Economic Studies / Japan and Korea (Prof. Pascha), Temporary position (3 months); Starting date: as soon as possible

This is an interesting opportunity for those who want to have firsthand experience in field research, as part of the job description is participating in interviews with local companies: The Chair of East Asian Economic Studies / Japan and Korea (Prof. Pascha) is looking for a dedicated student to support a small research team for a joint German-Korean research project. The position is open for undergraduate students only.Main Tasks:

• Translate relevant material from Korean to English
• Help transcribe audio interviews to text
• Assist the research team in gathering and analyzing data
• Participate in interviews with local companies and, when necessary, translate relevant information into Korean
• Assist the Korean delegation in their fieldwork in Germany between 3–7.07.18

Requirements:

• Native Korean speaker
• Good English language skills
• MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel
• Working hours flexibility
